Clinical Information
Immunophenotyping, myeloid / lymphoid markers for hematological malignancies. Flow panels include B cell (Kappa, Lambda, CD10, CD19, CD20, CD38, CD45, CD5); TNK (CD57, CD38, CD8, CD7, CD4, CD3, CD45, CD2, CD56); Myeloid (CD11b, CD34, HLA-DR, CD13, CD19, CD14, CD16, CD45, CD33, CD117 with add-ons as needed); Plasma Cells (icKappa, icLambda, CD56, CD19, CD38, CD45, CD138, CD117); CLL (FMC7, CD49d, CD200, CD19, CD23, CD45, CD5); Blasts (icTdT, icMPO, CD64, CD10, CD19, icCD3, icCD79a, CD34, CD45).

Specimen Requirements
  • Whole Blood: 4 mL (minimum of 0.5 mL with 107 cells), NaHep preferred (EDTA accepted)
  • Bone Marrow Aspirate: 2 mL (minimum of 0.5 mL with 107 cells), NaHep preferred (EDTA accepted)
  • Bone Marrow Core Biopsy: 2 cm (minimum of 1 cm), Sterile container with 2-4 mL RPMI transport media or sterile saline
  • Fresh Tissue: 5 mm3, Sterile container with 2-4 mL RPMI transport media or sterile saline
  • Fine Needle Aspirate (FNA): 4 mL (minimum of 0.5 mL with 107 cells), Sterile container with 2-4 mL RPMI transport media or sterile saline
  • Fluids: CSF, pleural, synovial, pericardial fluids, BAL: 4 mL (minimum of 0.5 mL with 107 cells), Sterile container with 2-4 mL RPMI transport media or sterile saline

Specimen Stability

Specimen stable for 48 hours at 4°C.
